Diane Werny Obituary: A Celebration of Life

It is with great sadness that the family of Winnie Barnes announces her passing at the age of 77 years old on Wednesday, July 19th. Winnie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Winnie was surrounded by a large circle of friends and family. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Barnes, as well as her parents Mary and Abraham Hillier. Her special friends, Eileen and Norma, and home care worker Amada Follett will also be deeply missed.

Winnie is survived by her daughter Connie, grandchildren Jamie, Bryan, Terilyn, Matthew, Dylan, Connie, Tyson, Desiree, Liam, Stef, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also loved by her brothers and sisters Joe, Irene, Allan, Clayton, Sharon, Lorrie, Bernie, Reuben, Marilyn, Bill, Ivy, Mary, Kevin, Janie, Fred, Jim, Maguerite, and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Winnie's funeral service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church in Fortune on Saturday, July 22nd at 2:00pm, with interment following at All Saints Anglican Cemetery. Visitation for the public will be held on Friday, July 21st from 10:00am to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, while family-only visitation will take place on Thursday, July 20th.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Winnie's memory to the All Saints Cemetery Fund. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home in Grand Bank.

Winnie's passing leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories for those who loved her. She was a kind and caring person who touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to all who have supported them during this difficult time.
